I wish I had it on tap but sometimes it’s hard to write a song. So, in no particular order, these are 5 of my favorite instant inspirational albums:
1. Reasonable Doubt (Jay-Z)
His first album. He was under-estimated and looked down on, but he still made it happen.
2. 808 and Heartbreak (Kanye West)
One of the most creative albums I’ve ever heard. He took auto-tune to another level.
3. TP-2.com (R-Kelly)
I think Drake and everyone else that both raps and sings owes Kells. He practically invent it.
4. Stadium Arcadium (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
What can I say but when I heard this album, I became an instant fan.
5. K.R.I.T. wuz here (Big K.R.I.T.)
I am a fan of music so I listen to much more than the genre in which I write. This guy is like a mix of David Banner and Common. His lyrical content is crazy with the Southern swagg.
Finally, I’m about to shoot my first video off the mixed tape. I hope it will help to get the music further out there. We’re still brainstorming video concepts. May be I’ll let you guest.
Before I forget, I want to thank everyone that supported the music from day one. We’re going hard this summer. I hope to do so many shows till I get no sleep. Trust, you’ll here about it. As for me, just working my day job until fate decides to change it. But with the caliber of music me and my team are making, it won’t be long before I’m a household name. LOL. That’s it for now but stay tuned and I’ll keep you up to date in what I like to call road to revelry. In the meantime, keep listening, keep sending in your shout-outs, and keep telling everyone else where they can hear the next big thing, www.MaijaEvent.com!
